‍

‍

5.3 Consent

‍

We rely on consent for Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and other non-essential tracking technologies where consent is required.

You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Website’s cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

‍

‍

5.4 Legal obligations

‍

We process information where necessary to comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other binding obligations.

‍

‍

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

‍

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies.

These technologies may include:

  • strictly necessary cookies required for security and core Website functionality;
  • cookies used to remember your privacy choices;
  • Google Analytics cookies; and
  • Meta Pixel and associated advertising technologies.

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel must remain disabled until the required consent is obtained in jurisdictions where prior consent is required. Meta’s own business guidance instructs website operators not to send Pixel data before the visitor has accepted the relevant cookies.

You can:

  • select particular cookie categories;
  • change or withdraw your choices through the Website’s persistent cookie-settings link; and
  • delete or block cookies through your browser settings.

Further details are available in our Cookie Policy, accessible through the Website footer.

‍

‍

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

‍

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients.

‍

‍

7.1 Website hosting and form provider

‍

The Website is hosted using Webflow.

Information submitted through Website forms may be stored in Webflow and delivered to Dazzl by email.

‍

‍

7.2 Analytics provider

‍

We use Google Analytics to measure Website use, subject to your cookie choices and applicable consent requirements.

Google Analytics’ standard property settings permit event-level data retention of up to 14 months, consistent with the retention period selected by Dazzl.

‍

‍

7.3 Advertising provider

‍

We use Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, to measure advertising performance and support advertising activities, subject to your cookie choices and applicable law.

‍

‍

7.4 Operational service providers

‍

We may disclose information to providers that support:

  • business email;
  • Website security;
  • cloud and information-technology services;
  • communications;
  • data storage; and
  • technical support.

‍

7.5 Professional advisers

‍

We may disclose information to lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers and other professional advisers where reasonably necessary.

‍

‍

7.6 Authorities and legal recipients

‍

We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to a court order, subpoena or lawful government request;
  • protect the rights, property or safety of Dazzl or another person;
  • investigate fraud, security incidents or unlawful activity; or
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

7.7 Corporate transactions

‍

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, investment, acquisition, restructuring, insolvency or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

Depending on the service and processing involved, a recipient may act as our processor or service provider, or as an independent controller responsible for its own processing.

‍

‍

8. Sale, Sharing and Targeted Advertising

‍

Dazzl does not sell contact information or other personal information in exchange for monetary payment.

However, under certain US state privacy laws, the use of advertising technologies such as Meta Pixel may be defined as:

  • “sharing” personal information;
  • “sale” of personal information; or
  • processing for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising,

even where no money is exchanged.

The categories potentially disclosed for these purposes include:

  • online identifiers;
  • IP address and approximate location;
  • browser and device information;
  • Website browsing and interaction activity; and
  • advertising and campaign interaction information.

You may opt out by:

  • rejecting advertising cookies through the cookie banner;
  • disabling the advertising category through Cookie Settings; or
  • using a legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, where applicable.

California law gives qualifying consumers the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, including through recognized opt-out preference signals.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information belonging to individuals under 18.

‍

‍

9. International Processing and Transfers

‍

Dazzl is established in the United States. Information collected through the Website may therefore be processed in the United States.

Our service providers may also process information in the United States, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other countries in which they or their sub-processors operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your country.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely as appropriate on measures such as:

  • an adequacy decision issued by a competent authority;
  • the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses;
  • the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum;
  • contractual and organizational safeguards; or
  • another lawful transfer mechanism.

The European Commission recognizes adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses as mechanisms for protecting personal data transferred internationally.

Some service providers may independently participate in an applicable privacy framework or rely on other lawful transfer mechanisms. Dazzl is not currently certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

‍

‍

10. Data Retention

‍

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including legal, security and record-keeping requirements.

Our standard retention periods are:

‍

‍

10.1 Enquiries and communications

‍

Contact-form submissions, demo requests and related communications are normally retained for 24 months after the most recent substantive communication.

We may retain information for longer where:

  • active commercial discussions continue;
  • a contract or customer relationship is established;
  • retention is needed for a legal claim; or
  • applicable law requires a longer period.

‍

‍

10.2 Analytics information

‍

Google Analytics event-level information is retained for up to 14 months, subject to Google’s operation of the service and applicable settings.

‍

‍

10.3 Security and diagnostic logs

‍

Website security, access and diagnostic logs are normally retained for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is necessary to investigate a security incident or legal issue.

‍

‍

10.4 Cookie-consent records

‍

Records demonstrating cookie choices and consent may be retained for up to five years, subject to applicable limitation and accountability requirements.

‍

‍

10.5 Provider-controlled information

‍

Google, Meta, Webflow and other providers may retain certain information according to their own contractual obligations, technical requirements and privacy policies.

At the end of the applicable period, we delete or anonymize information unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.

‍

‍

11. Security

‍

We use reasonable administrative, organizational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorized access;
  • unlawful processing;
  • accidental loss;
  • destruction;
  • alteration; and
  • unauthorized disclosure.

These measures may include access restrictions, authentication controls, encryption where appropriate, vendor-management procedures and security monitoring.

No Internet transmission, Website or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

‍

‍

12. Your EEA and UK Privacy Rights

To exercise your rights, contact info@dazzl.cc.

You may complain to the data-protection authority in the EEA country or UK territory where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. GDPR transparency requirements include providing information about the controller, purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention and individual rights.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Website and do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about Website visitors.

‍

California disclosures

During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following California categories:

  • identifiers;
  • customer-record information;
  • commercial or business-enquiry information;
  • Internet or electronic-network activity;

  • Google Analytics;
  • Meta; and
  • advertising or referral sources.

We disclose these categories to the recipients and for the purposes described in Sections 4, 7 and 8.
